35.1 Long Term Storage of Spares.

I have had the good fortune of picking up some new silencers to be held
as spares for one of my Brit Bikes (the new one)  As I expect the current  silencers to be good for 10 years or more (beautiful dreamer?) ... What
is the best way to insure that when I go to these shining chrome beauties in a
decade and brush away the ages, they will still be chrome beauties??

Lots and lots of WD40, inside and out, then wrap them with some old clean T-shirts. Then put them in a sealed garbage bag. Then forget where the hell you put them  when you finally need them.
