Mark,
Polishing an intake port to a mirror finish is not desirable! When I finish ports, I'll polish them, then bead blast to get a matt finish. The reasoning is that the air/fuel mixture can "puddle" on the mirror finish which will reduce flow and upset mixture. I'm not going to go on about flow rates and all the intricacies of cylinder head porting. There is a lot of literature on this subject that you can pick up at libraries. A good port job is best left to people with a flow bench and plenty of experience! You can improve the port on the Bullet by removing the casting flaws and smoothing it out, but I would not attempt to change the shape of the port without professional guidance!
