Volume 2
14th February 1999.
Welcome to the second, thrilling Volume of Captain Norton's Notes. As with Volume 1, virtually  all notes relate to the Norton Commando. They were archived from the Brit-Iron Mailing list sometime between 1994 and 1995.

This volume covers what  may be called the Glory Years of Brit-Iron, with contributions from Jamie Hamilton, Terry Drehmel, Robin Tuluie, and Commando Dan, (aka D.J. Walker), none of which are now subscribed. Others have also come and gone, often without notice, and just this footprint of their mighty contributions remain, along with a few Norton's which may still be running.

You'll find new information here on the Amal Carb and Boyer Electronic Ignition, the two most hotly discussed subjects on the Mailing list. Along with a heated debate on Norton's and Triumphs as a new member enters the fray and innocently asks for help selecting a bike to restore. We also beat to death the purpose and selection of Oil.

Regards, Peter Aslan, (aka Captain Norton). Captain.Norton@clara.net                  Return to the Master Contents Page.
